Many of you may have already been out to admire our latest arrival, Dance; without a doubt he is definitely worth a look ... or many looks. He is aptly named; as he jumps, bucks and spins around his stall or outside. Perhaps we should have called him Salsa as he is a little saucy with his mother, Jazz. The simple pleasure of watching a foal romp does not need explaining to our fellow horse enthusists. He is pure pleasure to watch and the issues of the day fall away as you smile at his curiosity with everything new and different or his tearing around the paddock at full speed AND We have more to come ... Dream, Primrose and Sugar all in the line-up to be mothers.
This spring our farm is drying out quicker than previous years thanks to the lower amounts of snow received ... no complaints here! Indeed, all the paddock tiling put in last fall has helped as well. On the years list for improvements is additional paddocks for the stallions as well as adding three more for the other horses to increase our ability to rotate them with greater ease for paddock management. Lots to look forward too.

Surely It Must Be Spring Soon!
Well its March and no spring flowers or new foals have sprung up. We did get snow recently that we would have perferred not to have. Our first expected foal of the season is any day now and we await its appearance! Come on Jazz; lets go! We are all anxious to see the baby! As many are aware we expect four foals this year in Decker's second breeding season. He has really figured out his role here at the farm; definitely a late bloomer but now making up for lost time!! It's not his fault he loved people more than other horses given his early 'foal-hood trauma' -- abandoned at birth by the mare's death and handraised. He definitely landed in the right spot as he is well loved and admired by everyone coming to the Farm. He often assists visitors to unlatch the driveway gate from his front paddock. Decker is our FARM GREETER - just beware he is curious about sideview mirrors as well.
